“ Whenever we eat at Summer Palace, it never disappoints and now, after covid, service remains exceptional and the food is delicious. A few dishes are re-invented to be better. For example, shrimp on eggplant has now become shrimp on bitter melon and/or eggplant on a ceramic bowl with black bean sauce. It is certainly elevated. Another is their Chef Tony's soup. Sea cucumber, fish maw, julienne mushroom and bean sprouts scattered in a melted thick broth of yumminess! Recommendation: book reservations especially during weekend dimsum lunch ”

“ A-1 service! My brother's favorite dim sum place in Manila. The staff are so attentive and just want to make sure everything is alright. It's so much nicer and enjoyable to eat dim sum quietly and peacefully without the noise of clanking classes and plates. The prices are more expensive than your typical dim sum joint but it certainly is worth the price to be able to take your time and savor the flavors. Will go back definitely, even on our own. ”

“ Really impressed with the level of service and quality of food at SP. We were visiting Makati for a week and I had relatives that picked us up and took us out to dinner. The location is beautiful and inside the renowned Shangri-La Hotel. Evidently, my relatives frequent this restaurant a lot since they knew the manager and wait staff. Our party sat in a large table with a lazy Susan, and the place settings were already set. We tried a lot of entrees to include crispy beef, duck 2 ways (one of my faves!), noodles with lots of veggies, shrimp with corn flakes (yes, corn flakes- that was interesting!), a think tofu soup that green, fried fish, sushi, sashimi, and several desserts. Honestly, I couldn't remember all the names of the entrees, but everything we tried was flavorful and unique. You can't go wrong with anything ordered. Although it would be helpful to go with someone who frequents the restaurant or is familiar with Chinese dishes. Service is amazing, and there is always someone to assist you in anything you may need. Dress is business casual but you def can get away with casual since you're in a hotel. ”
“ If you're not in the mood to travel to other countries or even to Chinatown just to eat Chinese food, then please check out Summer Palace at Edsa Shangrila hotel. Their food is GGGGREAAATTTT! It's no wonder that our Chinese friends often have gatherings here. Yes, they may be quite pricey, but it's totally worth it. Their food is filled with flavor and the servings are of reasonable sizing. Their dimsum, seafood and noodles are exceptional! If you're up to treating yourself, then definitely try Summer Palace. ”
